Yuan Hongdao 1568-1610 Traveling By Boat To Gold Harbor, Drinking With Sanmu and Wang Hui How happy I feel in the country! All along the riverbank         flowers on the hedges. Old framers sit in the fields,          crushing lice; river girls lie with their fishing poles,          asleep. The households in this little harbor         pay their taxes in reeds; the granery holds rice duties        collected from the barges. We have a boat and some fresh wine to drink... this happiness has nothing to do with money!

Yuán Hóngdào 1568-1610 Xiānɡ luò yě táorán, Lí huā ɡǔ ànbiān. Tiánwēnɡ mén shī zuò, Xīnǚ dài ɡān mián. Xiǎo ɡǎnɡ lú zū hù, Dī cānɡ mǐ shuì chuan. Hédāo yǔ shēnɡ jiǔ, Xìnɡ jù bú lùn qián.
