白塔呼和浩特 Baita Huhehaote, or 萬都華嚴經塔 Wandu Huayanjingta, Avatamsaka Sutra Pagoda was where nearly ten thousand volumes of Huayan Scripture were preserved. It is an exquisite brick-wood structure about one hundred and fifty feet tall. it was built with layers of massive stone interspersed with wood roofs. Built in the 遼 Liao Dynasty (907-1125), it is the oldest structure left from the anciant Liao town of 丰州 Fengzhou.
