Home of the Qing Dynasty 恭王 Gōngwáng, Prince Gong, and reputed to be the model for Cao Xueqin's 18th century novel 紅樓夢 Hónglóumèng, Dream of the Red Mansions. As a result of this notoriety it is jammed with tour groups and the garden can hardly be seen for all the people. And silence is non existant as the tour leaders speak into their megaphones.
