Originally the main market square of Lijiang. Now no longer a market and today the main tourist center of Lijiang. Paved with natural terrazzo stones it was kept cleaned in the past by opening the river gates once a day and flooding it with a foot of clear river water. Almost every morning lines of old Naxi ladies perform their graceful line dances
