Fanghe Pavilion was built on the peak of Yunlongshan in 1078 by Zhang Tianji, who called himself the Hermit of Yunlong. There he bred two cranes. When Su Shi was the local governor in Xuzhou, they became friends and Su wrote his famous essay 'On Fanghe Pavilion'.
