"John Thompson has been playing the Chinese silk string guqin zither since 1974. His repertoire largely consists of melodies he has reconstructed from Ming dynasty sources. His large guqin website, John Thompson and the Guqin Silk-String Zither, includes many translations he has done of Chinese poetry and song.
