Five bronze statues crafted by Zanabazar. "Figure on far right is that of Sita Tara, White Tara. Sita Tara was originally esteemed as the celibate consort of the bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara, from whom the Dalai Lamas of Tibet are reincarnated. According to legend Zanabazar modeled his Sita Tara on his own consort as a young girl. This young woman, whose name we don't know, apparently died at the age of eighteen under mysterious circumstances. Zanabazar, it is said, created this White Tara in her memory. The White Tara and his Green Tara, the latter depicting her as a fully developed young woman, are Zanzibar's best known works."
